What is Ragnarök Martial Arts?
We are a school that thrives on mixing Karate and Arnis together to form a system of martial arts we call the Ragnarök way of martial arts.
We are a Community Based School
We work with Noble High School Adult Ed Program and North Berwick Parks and Recreation Department to bring classes to everyone from kids to seniors.
We are a Competition School
We compete in the I.P.P.O.N.E New England Circuit, the Maine S.M.A.R.T Circuit, and the New Hampshire/Vermont Twin State Circuits.
Co-Founder David Winter
Sensei David has his own lengthy history in martial arts training, though with a later start. He started training in ATA Songahm Taekwondo when he was 11, competing in various local ATA tournaments. Around the time that he turned 15, life got in the way, and he had to leave organized training behind for a while. Without the ability to attend formal classes, he resorted to independent study until enlisting in the U.S. Marines in 2009, training in MCMAP, and continuing his self-study until being honorably discharged in 2014. After his discharge, he returned to self-study until he was able to join a school that offered more structured training. From that point, he has trained in the Seacoast Warriors system, Shaolin Kenpo, Ketsugo Jujutsu, and Arnis.
